Making Friends with Thompson Egbo-Egbo
PRODUCT Toronto sat down with Toronto's own Thompson Egbo-Egbo, who since the age of 5 has been playing the piano, perfecting his art of performance, and enjoying the amazing City he calls home. His latest album 'A New Standard' (available everywhere music is sold) is breathtaking and bold. His eclectic song choices, unique arrangements, and ever-evolving skills make this album a personal favourite. We were lucky enough to get a chance to hang out and hear Thompson perform two of the songs of the new album. 'My Favourite Things', a Rogers & Hammerstein classic and a traditional Hebrew folk song, 'La Baiom Velo Balyla'. The album also includes Thompsons' rendition of Bob Dylan's 'Make You Feel My Love' and Radioheads 'Exit Music (For A Film)'. Enjoy the video interview, performances, and incredible photos below.
